Nagy Moustafa is a co-founder and the chairman of SecureMisr. Nagy has been instrumental in founding and funding business operations across the international market. His global experience in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East have led to many significant ideas eventually being delivered to the marketplace.

In addition to SecureMisr, Nagy has recently co-founded Time Tech Ventures in Geneva, and is currently the Chairman and CEO of Canadian Growth Investment, Chairman of Adeya SA, Chariman of Agora, Chairman of sysmosoft SA, Chairman of Infosec Global, Chairman of Clear Cell Group, Vice Chairman of First Information Security, Board Member of CIT Global and investment partner with XPV Capital. He has also founded CIT and Diversinet.

Prior to his entrepreneurial career, Nagy held senior positions at Rogers Communications and the Ministry of Economic Development in Canada. He is also a member of The Young Presidents Organization.



Gen. Badr Khairy is a co-founder and the managing director of SecureMisr. Badr Khairy is a retired army General who served in the Egyptian army between 1965 and 1980. Gen. Badr was part of the Egyptian delegation to the Camp David negotiations which concluded with the signing of the peace treaty. Upon retiring from the army, Gen. Badr embarked on a business career with major consulting and auditing companies including Arthur Andersen and Earnest and Young, where he served as a partner.

Gen. Badr co-founded SecureMisr and led it it to become the center of excellence it is today in the Middle East. Gen. Badr is instrumental in SecureMisr’s business development activities and in shaping its go to market strategy and vision.



Dr. Sherif El Kassas is a founding member and the Chief Technology Officer of SecureMisr. Dr. El Kassas has been involved with information security for 30 in which he has provided security consultation and assessment services to the leading banks, financial sector companies, government agencies, and leading businesses within the Arab region.

Dr. El-Kassas has also been involved in shaping government policy and the legal and regulatory environment for IT and security within Egypt.

In addition to his work at SecureMisr, El-Kassas is a Professor at the department of Computer Science and Engineering, and former Director of Academic Computing Services at the American University in Cairo. His research interests are focused on Security Management, the application of formal methods in Security Engineering, and open source technologies.

Dr. El-Kassas is a member of the board of the Egyptian Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), Egyptian e-Signature center of excellence, Founding Member of OpenEgypt, an Egyptian Open Source NGO, and Member of various professional computing societies.

He received his Ph.D. from the Eindhoven University of technology in the Netherlands.

Sherif Shaltout


Sherif Shaltout has joined SecureMisr in 2010 and now serves as its Chief Operations Officer overseeing sales and services delivery. Sherif has over 15 years of cyber security experience having previously served with Internet Security Systems between 2002 and 2007 and with IBM-Egypt between 2007 and 2010 following IBM’s acquisition of Internet Security Systems. Before departing IBM to SecureMisr, Sherif served as the regional professional services manager for IBM Internet Security Systems for the Middle East region.
Over his career, Sherif provided consulting services to customers all over the Middle East and Africa, in addition to Egypt, including Algeria and the Central African Republic in Africa, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Oman in the GCC, Jordan and Lebanon in the Levant region.
Sherif has performed tens of security assessments and led multiple governance and compliance projects for some of the region’s leading business organizations. Sherif oversaw SecureMisr’s growth from a cyber security startup in 2010 to a market leader in 2018.
